HB 43 (Smith-D-Augusta)

Amends O.C.G.A. ยง 20-2-721 by adding language that specifies that both parents of a student, including the noncustodial parent may pick up and drop off their child at school unless a court order specifically removed the right of the noncustodial parent to do so, or unless their parental rights have been terminated.

In any case, the custodial parent may authroize a specified person to pick up or drop off such child at school.  The school is specifically authorized to rely on such authorization to releach a child to such specified person.
